  会计英语面试对话(一)

  Situation: Lintel, a computer chip manufacturing company, currently has a job opening in its Finance department. John Miller is the first applicant to be interviewed this morning by Lintel’s Finance Manager Mike Gates.

  Mike: Good Morning, John. I am Mike.

  John: Good Morning.

  Mike: How are you doing?

  John: I am doing fine. Thank you.

  Mike: How was the traffic coming over here?

  John: I am so glad that the traffic was light this morning. No traffic jam and no accidents.

  Mike: That is good. John, let’s start the interview. Are you ready?

  John: Yes, I am.

  Mike: First of all, let me properly introduce myself. I am the Finance Department Manager. As you know there is an open position in my department, and I need to fill this position as soon as possible.

  John: Please, tell me a little bit about the position.

  Mike: It is an entry-level position. The new employee will have to work closely with the Accounting department. He will also have to deal with the bank on a daily basis.

  John: What type of qualifications do you require?

  Mike: I require a four-year college degree in Finance. Some working experience would be helpful.

  John: What kind of experience are you looking for?

  Mike: Doing office work is good. However, since this is an entry-level position, I do not require a lot of experience. I am willing to train the new person.

  John: That is great!

  Mike: John, tell me a little bit about yourself.

  John: I was a student at West Coast University, and I just graduated with a Bachelor degree in Finance. I have been working part-time as a payroll clerk for the last two years.

  Mike: What are you looking for in a job?

  John: The job should help me see what Finance is all about. I have learned a lot of Finance theories at school, and now it is time for me to put them into practice.

  Mike: Anything else?

  John: I also hope that it will help me grow in my field.

  Mike: What are your strengths? Why should I hire you?

  John: I am a hard-working person and a fast learner. I am very eager to learn, and I get along fine with people.

  Mike: OK. Now, let me ask you a few quick questions. You do not mind working long hours, do you?

  John: No, I do not.

  Mike: Can you handle pressure?

  John: Yes, I can. When I was going to school, I took quite a few courses each semester while working at least twenty hours every week. And, I handled that situation very well.

  Mike: Do you still have any questions for me?

  John: No, I think I have a pretty good understanding of the job. I believe that I can handle it with ease, and I hope to have the opportunity to work for you.

  Mike: John, nice meeting you. Thank you for coming.

  John: Nice meeting you too. Thank you for seeing me.

  1. Interviewer:Why do you think you are qualified for this position?

  Candidate: Well, I think my major and working experience make me qualified for this position. I am an international trader according as my working experience. Besides, being a team player, I have great interpersonal skills.

  2. Interviewer: How do you think about your job?

  Candidate: In my opinion, job enjoyment is the best.

  Thinking go ahead before the leader ask. It is my working style.

  And think towards Excellence and make provision for something happen. And I would like a healthy, friendly and positive environment. Working at this environment and enjoy the job.

  3. Interviewer: How do you accomplish your job when you have some pressure?

  Candidate: Firstly I will accomplish my wok carefully, ensure to finish and issue accurate data and reports without any errors even if there is some large pressure around me.And then I will talk to my friends about my pressure and heard their some suggestion to relief my pressure.

  4. Interviewer: Will you accomplish your work by yourself without your colleague’s assist?

  Candidate: Yes, of course I willaccomplish (complete ) my work by myself.

  E.g. I have been dealing with some business by myself in Dalian office during 2006-2007 due to my chief manager worked in Shanghai at that time.

  Secondlybeing a chief accountant, I manage all account business at the current company from its opening up to now.

  5.Interviewer: How do you do in your daily work?

  Candidate:

  I will do a daily working schedule and shows every items need to be done in the couple days. Then execute it per the schedule in the daily work. And check the schedule before I am off duty and then sign some uncompleted items with arrowhead and turn to the next day’s schedule.

  6.Interviewer:What do you win from your work? What have you learnt from the jobs you have had?

  Review my working experience of the past years. I thinkI am a all-round accountant according as my working experience.

  Firstly, learn how to bookkeeping account from my 1stjob.

  Learn how to cortroll the manufacture cost and inventory during worked at Japan Company.

  Follow up the order, booked and arranged the shipment. Hand the import and export documentation. Deal with some transfer, insurance, port, Phyto and custom business.

  Work with KPMG in annual audit. And know the famous audit companycharacter.

  Put myself to a finance manager position. Make myself to manage all account business

  Being a chief accountant, I manage all account business at the current company from its opening up to now.

  Learn and Operate export draw back at its 10.0 system and deal with all export draw back business at my current company.

  Issue VAT invoice and deal with some VAT Anti-counterfeiting system business.

  Direct and manage the cashier’s job

  7.Interviewer: What are your short-term goals and your long-range objective? Where do you want to be 5 years from now in your career?

  Candidate:I want to put my knowledge and experience to use in a challenging position. In order to achieve this goal, I just want to work step by step.

  8.Interviewer: How long would you stay with us?

  Candidate: In my opinion I would like to work for you as long as possible.
